SG and MOSI Offer Discounted Tickets to Students
TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 19, 2008) The USF Student Government has teamed up with the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) to offer discounted tickets for students to view MOSI's latest exhibition, titled "Body Worlds and the Story of the Heart," during USF Week, Feb. 23 - March 1. During that week, students will be able to purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $14, a savings of nearly $12.
Student Government encourages faculty to give students extra credit for their attendance during college week, as the exhibit will teach students about the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Students will have the opportunity to evaluate their health decisions as they compare the lungs of a healthy individual to that of a smoker; see the effects of alcohol on the liver; and learn the intricacies of the human heart. Over the past 13 years, more than 26 million people have seen this exhibition.
