Bobby and Chimps Premieres at USF
TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2009) – Bobby and the Chimps, a new play about love, faith and politics in America, opens Feb. 26 on USF’s Tampa campus under the auspices of the British International Theatre (BRIT) Program.
Created by award-winning playwright and director James Phillips (shown in the photo at left, on the far right), this penetrating drama explores arguments about evolution and God set against the backdrop of a 2008 Bethlehem, Pennsylvania school board election.
The show will run Feb. 26 - 28 and March 4 - 7 at 8 p.m., and March 1 and 8 at 3 p.m. in Theatre II. There will be a post-show dialogue with the playwright and actors on Feb. 27 and March 6.
