Fine Arts Presents First Annual Silent Auction

TAMPA, Fla. (March 18, 2009) -- The Master of Fine Arts Organization will host its first annual silent art auction Wednesday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in FAH 288.

The auction will feature the work of fine arts graduate students and faculty in a variety of media, including photography, prints, sculpture, music CDs, drawings and paintings. Proceeds from the event will benefit future MFAO endeavors, to include funding for two fall 2009 exhibits in Puerto Rico and Tallahassee.

Artists participating in the event include but are not limited to: Kim Adams, Wendy Babcox, Ariel Baron-Robbins, Neil Bender, Toni D. Billick, Elisabeth Condon, Cesar Cornejo, Robb Fladry, Ryan Foster, Gregory Green, Lauren Alyssa Howard, Danelle Kraszewski, Lou Marcus, Justin Martin, Bruce Monroe, Ellen Mueller, Andrew Nigon, Chris Otten, Khadijah Queen, James Reiman, Bradlee Shanks, Julie Weitz and Wallace Wilson.

VIP bidding for USF faculty, staff and VIPs will take place Wednesday, March 25  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public bidding will take place Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., concurrent with ARTHOUSE, an annual arts event produced by the School of Art and Art History. As part of this event, a live caricature drawing by James Reiman will go to the highest bidder at 8 p.m.
