Week of Welcome Jan. 11-16

Tampa, Fla. (January 5, 2010) – USF’s Week of Welcome will be held Monday, Jan. 11 – Saturday, Jan. 16. All new students are invited to participate. (See complete event listing below.)


WOW is a campus-wide program designed to help new students feel comfortable on campus. WOW is packed with social and academic programs that enable new students to speak with current students and get the inside scoop on campus life.

University Lecture Series Presents “Klan-Destine Relationships” with Daryl Davis

Marshall Student Center Ballroom, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Driven by the need to understand those who hate him because of the color of his skin, Daryl Davis decided to seek out the roots of racism by infiltrating the KKK. Come hear about how Davis’ courageous quest resulted, he believes, in a ray of hope for harmony between the races and the future of mankind.

Stampede of Service 2010
Volunteer Check-in at the USF Track Stadium, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Stampede of Service (SOS) is USF’s largest day of service and has become an annual tradition at USF.  Spend time with friends while serving various Hillsborough County agencies. Make history happen at USF! Sign up at leadandserve.usf.edu/servesos.php.

USF Basketball Doubleheader

Women’s Basketball 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Men’s Basketball 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

USF Athletics invites Bulls fans to join us in the Sun Dome for an evening of basketball and fun as the USF Women’s Basketball team plays host to BIG EAST foe Syracuse and USF Men’s Basketball takes on Rutgers. Make sure to come early to join in on the various festivities before and between the games!
