Technology Fee Proposal Deadline Extended to March 31

TAMPA, Fla. (Updated March 18, 2010) -- USF Information Technology has extended the deadlines for proposals for the next cycle of the Technology Fee until March 31.

All proposals will be evaluated mid-March through early April for July funding by the advisory boards (Information Technology Management Council, Chief Information Officer/University Technology Standards Board, and the Student Technology Advisory Council) based on the Guiding Principles and Evaluation Criteria that is outlined on the USF IT webpage.

By statute, the fund is to be utilized to enhance instructional technology for faculty and students. Our focus to date as outlined in our criteria has been on  increasing the anytime, anywhere teaching and learning options, ensuring safe, secure, stable, and highly-available learning environments that promote the exchange of information, promoting the visualization of  ideas or information into a form that facilitates human interaction for understanding, ensuring the accessibility of learning to accommodate the diverse learning needs of the campus, and improving teaching and learning through the use of digital content and tools that assist in organization, management and comprehension.

All USF faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to submit technology-related proposals for funding.  Please visit the Information Technology Web site for information regarding the proposal process, guiding principles and evaluation criteria.
