DeBartolo Conference on 18th- and 19th-Century Studies

TAMPA, Fla. (March 5, 2010) -- The DeBartolo Endowment, the English Department, and the Humanities Institute will co-sponsor the 21st DeBartolo Conference on Eighteenth- and Nineteenth-Century Studies on Friday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Marshall Student Center room 3711.


The theme for this one-day conference is "Medievalizing Britain," and will feature a keynote lecture by Antony Harrison, Distinguished Professor of English and Department Head at North Carolina State University. Harrison is a leading scholar on Christina Rossetti and the author of five books and numerous articles, editions, and reviews on Victorian poetry, culture, and medievalism.


The conference will also include several panels with scholars in English and art history from across the U.S. and Canada, a catered lunch, and an evening wine and cheese reception.
