Housing and Residential Education Sponsors Last Lecture Series

TAMPA, Fla. (March 10, 2010) – If you had one last chance to speak to a group, what would your message be? That is the premise behind the “Last Lecture Series,” which makes its USF debut Wednesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Marshall Student Center Oval Theater. The series is sponsored by Housing and Residential Education.

Through nominations and a lengthy selection process, Johnny El-Rady, professor in biology, was chosen as the inaugural speaker. El-Rady will highlight major themes from 40 years of experience on four continents.

The Last Lecture Series program is a tradition at various universities around the country and gained popularity in 2007 when Randy Pausch performed his “last lecture” that made news around the world.
