Student Affairs Marks 50th Anniversary

TAMPA, Fla. (May 7, 2010) -- The USF Division of Student Affairs will mark its 50th anniversary during the fall of 2010, fifty years after the university’s official first day of classes in the fall of 1960.

Due to the significance of this event, the enormous success and impact of the Division of Student Affairs and our students  for five decades, the response and involvement of both our students, faculty, and staff  in the creation of the Division of Student Affairs, and the university's commitment to student success and engagement, we will not only celebrate these historic events that occurred on our campus, we will leverage it to renew our commitment to being a globally engaged university, and to inspire and educate our students to be successful in all aspects of their lives as they “lead and change the world.”

The Division of Student Affairs invites all members of the university community to get involved in this historic event. If you are interested in serving on the planning committee for the 50th Anniversary of Student Affairs and the Year of the Student, email Regina Young Hyatt.
