Faces of the World
All members of the USF community invited to participate in photo project for new Patel Center.
TAMPA, Fla. (May 20, 2010) Christophe Jouany, a world-renowned photographer commissioned by USF, will photograph a series of culturally diverse portraits for a permanent exhibition for the lobby of the new Patel Center for Global Solutions. The building is scheduled to open in December 2010.
These photos will highlight the globalized diversity of USF, and all members of the USF community – students, faculty, staff and alumni – are invited to participate.
A wide range of people including all ages, genders, ethnic groups and body types will be selected to be photographed for these portraits. No previous experience in front of a camera is necessary.
An initial selection will be made from entries that members of the USF community submit. If selected, candidates will be contacted for a short interview. After the interviews are completed, 50 to 70 people will be selected to have their portraits taken. Photo sessions will take place on campus between June 1 and September 15, 2010.
All portraits will be shot in front of a white backdrop with the subject wearing a generic t-shirt. The project is open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni. So don’t hold back, be the next face of a global USF!
