Free Public Safety Programs Offered

New public safety products available to USF community free of charge during trial year.

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2010) – Two new public safety products being offered by USF's Division of Public Safety are available free of charge to all faculty, staff and students during a one-year trial period.

The Division of Public Safety announced the two new programs, Guardian 911 and Smart 911, in May as part of the university's initiatives aimed at strengthening the Emergency Notification System and the various safety programs which provide a secure environment for students and university employees.

The trial period for Guardian 911 and Smart 911 began on June 1, 2010. One has to be registered for MOBULL before registering for Guardian 911 and Smart 911. To register, go to
