Help with WOW Information Stations
USF employees have opportunity to help welcome students to campus.
TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 6, 2010) – Are you ready for the fall semester? USF students are getting ready and you can help in welcoming them to campus.
The A&P Council (with support of the Staff Senate) is sponsoring information stations during the Week of Welcome (WOW) again this year. The stations will be operational on the first two days of fall classes (Aug. 23 & 24) on the Tampa campus. They will be placed in strategic locations, and USF employees can volunteer at the stations to assist students with finding their classes, offering information on USF activities and simply welcoming them to campus.
Volunteers are being scheduled in one-hour increments. The goal is to have at least two people at all locations at all times during the scheduled period.
Want to volunteer an hour or more of your time? You can find out more about the program and the time slots still available on our web site: http://www.usf.edu/matrixpro/weekofwelcome.
Step 1: Click on "Query Times Available" to find the time slots where we need volunteers.
Step 2: Click the Sign-up link. You may sign up for multiple times.
Volunteers will receive more detailed instruction via e-mail the week of Aug. 16th.
