USF President Judy Genshaft Fall Address Oct. 6
See it in person at the Marshall Center Oval Theater, or choose a couple of online options for viewing live.
TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2010) – The Internet is all about choice.
And this year, for the first time, people interested in seeing the Fall Address by University of South Florida President Judy Genshaft will have a couple of online options to view it.
The event, at 3 p.m. in the Marshall Student Center Oval Theater, will be webcast live on the university’s main website, USF.edu.
An alternative to the webcast is to view the speech, including a moderated pre-show, on USF’s official Facebook page. We will be using U-Stream Live to present the event. Just click on the UStream tab in the top center location on the page.
The pre-show, hosted by USF senior Amy Mariani, will include interviews with some of the students, faculty and staff who are filing into the Oval Theater to watch the president’s speech live. Mariani, a double major in political science and mass communications, will provide some background on USF’s past accomplishments under Genshaft’s tenure and a peek at some future projects. See a preview of the Facebook event here.
To learn more about Mariani, you can view her e-portfolio on the Honors College site.
Genshaft is expected to focus on major initiatives USF will continue or initiate during the next decade to 2020.
So remember, if you can’t attend in person, here’s the options:
