Homecoming Highlights

TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2010) – Homecoming Week continues through Saturday, highlighted by the gridiron matchup between the USF Bulls and Syracuse University Orange at noon at Raymond James Stadium.

For those who don’t want to hunt and peck, below are some quick links to some of the more popular events this week.

 

For Students:

 

Homecoming Ball: Wednesday, Oct. 6, 8 p.m. to midnight. Semi-formal affair. The event theme is Eastern Elegance, featuring the wonders of Eastern Asia. Marshall Student Center Ballroom. The 2010 Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned, and Chinese food will be served.

 

Homecoming Carnival: Thursday, Oct. 7, 6 p.m. to midnight. At The Meadows, (Holly Drive and 50th Street). Carnival rides, games, food and fun. A great place to create “The Memories are Here and Now.”

 

Running With the Bulls Night Parade: Friday, 7 p.m. Features homemade floats along Alumni Drive, Maple Drive and Holly Drive. A Parade After Party will be at The Meadows from 8 p.m. to midnight. This is one of the longest homecoming traditions at USF.

 

For Alumni:

 

Alumni Association Parade Watch Party: Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Gibbons Alumni Center on the Tampa Campus. The whole family is welcome for this free event before the Homecoming Parade. Music, food and children activities.

 

Alumni Association’s Bulls Roast Tailgate Party: In a fenced area outside Gates A & B outside Raymond James Stadium. 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tailgate party – need we say more? Okay, we will. Huge BBQ buffet, games, children activities, Rocky, Bud and more. Cost is $35 for Alumni Association members; $45 for non-members.
