TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 8, 2010) In celebration of International Education Week, USF Student Government will host the university’s inaugural International Festival on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the Martin Luther King Plaza west lawn, between the arts and natural sciences buildings.

Modeled after Epcot World’s Showcase, the event will feature booths representing countries from around the world hosted by USF student organizations, departments, international students and organizations from the Tampa Bay area. Visitors will receive “passports” and will be encouraged to visit at least two different countries from each region – Middle East and Africa, The Americas, Europe, Asia and Bull’s Country – to gain access to the “Global Buffet,” featuring a variety of catered, ethnic foods.

In addition to the booths, the event will include an outdoor art gallery and a display of international music and dance.
