USF Hosts Week of Welcome

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 3, 2011) – USF will welcome returning students and more than 1,500 transfer students during USF Week of Welcome, a week-long series of events scheduled to take place Monday, Jan. 10 – Saturday, Jan. 15.

The purpose of the USF Week of Welcome (WOW) is to energetically engage all USF students and to encourage their active participation in the community by exposing them to opportunities for involvement and interaction with their peers, faculty, and staff. WOW inspires Bull Pride in our students, generates excitement about their new home, and encourages both academic and social involvement. It’s a great way to help new students make their first connections to USF.

Please be sure to check out the Week of Welcome Website, where you can view a snap-shot of upcoming events on the homepage, extended office hours for the first week of classes, helpful links for new students and a list of campus traditions that will occur during Spring WOW. The website includes a detailed listing of all WOW activities , including more than 50 events hosted by university departments, academic colleges and student organizations.
