USF Day Festivities April 5-9

USF students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to the Tampa campus for the system-wide celebration of the second annual USF Day Saturday, Apr. 9, 2011.


The highlight of the day is the USF Bulls Football Green and Gold Bowl, the first-ever football scrimmage held on campus. Other activities for the day include softball, baseball and soccer games; a family-friendly festival, featuring numerous Bulls Country food vendors and interactive games; a golf tournament benefitting student veterans; and Bullstock, USF's annual outdoor music concert. Feel free to tailgate before the games, however please remember USF is a dry campus, so no alcohol is permitted.  In addition, each campus will host activities earlier in the week. Here are some highlights:


Human Resources will host a series of activities for USF Tampa campus faculty and staff, including a digital scavenger hunt; a work space decorating contest; a faculty and staff celebration; and a spirit day. The USF Bookstore will offer a special discount on USF-imprinted items as well. For more information, click here.


Student Affairs invites Tampa faculty and staff to join students for a BBQ chicken lunch on Thursday, April 7 at 11:45 a.m. in the MSC Amphitheater, then to stay for the USF Day Kickoff Rally at noon with Rocky, cheerleaders and some of our USF sports celebs.


USF Polytechnic will host the Sweets for Champions Dessert Cook Off, the Multicultural Festival, the Multicultural Leadership Program Showcase of Talent and the USF College Greeks Stepping for Poly.


USF Sarasota-Manatee will host USFSM Day Thursday, April 7 from 2 – 6 p.m. on the Clyde G. Nixon Courtyard.


USF St. Petersburg will host a campus barbecue Thursday, April 7 at 5 p.m. on the Harborwalk.
