USF Launches Social Media Page
The web page provides users with a one-stop resource for all USF-related social media content.
TAMPA, Fla. (April 13, 2011) – The University of South Florida wants to connect with you on your social networks. Here’s an update on the latest social media news at USF.
This week, USF.edu launched social.usf.edu, a one-stop resource for all University-related social media sites. Here users will find a complete list of the official USF-affiliated Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts. Continue to check the page for updates, as we’ll be refreshing content as new USF-affiliated social media accounts are launched.
For those of you on Twitter, you may have noticed Twitter’s new trend locations. This week, Twitter added 70 spots to its geographic trend tracking feature – and Tampa made the cut. We’ve been monitoring the Twitter trending topics in the Tampa area and we’re proud to say that USFis one of the top trending topics in the region!
We’ve recently had some big wins on the official USF Twitter account. We now have more than 2,000 followers and counting. Last week, we encouraged the USF community to use the hash tag #USFDay during the USF Day festivities. Nearly 400 tweets were sent using the #USFDay hash tag!
The official USF Facebook pagerecently had a makeover as well. In March, Facebook launched a new page design. Now, our Facebook page looks and acts like your personal profiles, which will help you navigate our page more easily.
