Pure Genius at USF Undergraduate Research Symposium
TAMPA, Fla. (April 15, 2011) – Hundreds of students, faculty, scientists, friends and the curious flowed through the Marshall Student Center Friday to view undergraduate student research projects on a mind-numbing spectrum of projects.
It was the University of South Florida’s ninth annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. Scholarship prizes totaling $10,000 went to top research projects and presentations.
A constant buzz of chatter filled the ballroom floor as students explained their projects to judges and passersby, and people discussed the poster boards and presentations. The popular event, which is open to all undergraduate students enrolled at USF, featured 170 projects.
