The Great "Pie Challenge" Creates Buzz and Employee Participation
To generate excitement, awareness and participation by employees in the Faculty and Staff Campaign, a challenge was issued by the 2010/11 Campaign Chair and Co-Chair to competitive leaders from across the campus to see who can make the greatest impact toward their area's Faculty & Staff Campaign goals in a one month time period. Focusing on participation, not dollar amounts, the great 'Pie Challenge" was born.
All of the competitors are willing to risk taking a "pie to the face" to support this important cause. Each "Pie Challenge" contender will be judged based upon the impact he or she has made toward a set participation goal. The top half of the challengers will celebrate their success by enjoying a slice of pie on a plate. The bottom half will have their pie a bit differently – as targets in a pie throwing contest. The great "Pie Challenge" officially kicked off Monday, April 25 and ends at the close of business on Friday, May 27.
You won't want to miss the festivities on Thursday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to noon, outside the Marshall Student Center, when the top and bottom performers either "eat pie" or get a "pie in the face." The event is open to everyone so you definitely will want to join in the fun and show your support for your favorite Pie Contender. There will be an appearance by "Rocky" with photo opportunities and pie for all! Perkins Family Restaurant is generously donating all the pies for the event.
Each Pie Contender understands what a positive impact the Faculty and Staff Campaign has on students, employees and programs. Please join us in recognizing the following Pie Contenders for their leadership in support of the Faculty and Staff Campaign:
