Federal Work Study Jobs Now Posted on HR Website
As part of the Student Success initiative "Student Employment@USF," all on-campus jobs (including Federal Work Study), are now posted in Careers@USF. This change is effective beginning June 1st on the Tampa campus. The move comes as part of the initiative's plan to centralize, enhance, and increase student employment opportunities on campus.
The major changes impacting departments with Spending Authority Allocations include:
Supervisors will provide job descriptions to their HR representatives for posting in the Careers@USF system;
Supervisors will use the job posting template available HR Forms Library titled "SE@USF Posting Template" to accomplish this and ensure accuracy and efficiency;
Department HR representatives will then go to HR's website, employment.usf.edu, instead of Career Connections, hosted by the Career Center, to post their available positions;
Hiring Authorities will no longer need a printed copy of a job description when submitting the Offer Letter, instead they will need to include the PeopleAdmin number and Posting number in the Chartfield information on the Offer Letter;
Signed Offer letters (by both supervisors and students hires) are uploaded as part of the hiring proposal;
FWS award verification is done through a document attachment – a .pdf or .txt – within the "Required Documents" section of the job posting.
If HR representatives would like more detailed information for how posting student positions in Careers differs from all other recruitments, they should attend the Administrative Training on August 2.
Please note that each of these supervisors' workshops cover the same information; therefore, attendance at one is all that would be needed.
