USF Trustee To Head Fifth Third Bank
Brian Lamb, a USF alumnus, has been named the new market president for Fifth Third Bank in Tampa Bay.
TAMPA, Fla. (July 13, 2011) – University of South Florida Trustee Brian Lamb, who holds a B.S. degree in accounting from USF, was named Wednesday the new market president for Fifth Third Bank in Tampa Bay.
Lamb joined Fifth Third Bank in 2006 after serving as chief financial officer of Home Discovery Real Estate Services Corporation. He is active in the Tampa Bay community, and has served on the board of directors of the Tampa Chamber of Commerce and Meals on Wheels. He is a mentor with the USF College of Business Corporate Mentor Program.
Lamb received the 2008 University of South Florida “Outstanding Young Alumnus Award” and was named “CFO of the Year” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2007.
His USF Trustee assignments include Chair of Academic and Campus Environment workgroup, member of the Finance and Audit workgroup, Compensation Committee and Collective Bargaining Team.
At Fifth Third Bank, Lamb succeeds Brian Keenan, who announced his resignation in May.
