Picture this: a serene, tranquil, mountainous landscape of greenery, exquisite color, and an array of sounds. This is it. This is India.
Before completing my study abroad application, my ultimate goal in traveling to India was to acquire knowledge about the various traditional healing systems of India in hopes of one day becoming an exceptional physician. What I had not anticipated was receiving an absolutely new outlook on life. Before beginning my sojourn to India, I had many preconceptions about this vast, diverse country in regards to their culture, heritage, cuisine, and, most importantly, their alternative healing traditions.
