USF Inventors to Hold Third Annual Luncheon as National Academy Grows
The USF Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) will hold their third annual luncheon on Fri. Oct. 21 at noon at the Embassy Suites Hotel in the USF Research Park.
The NAI was founded at USF in 2010 and has grown to include 23 Charter Member Institutions and over 500 individual inventor members. The USF Chapter recognizes the contributions of the scientist-inventors across all disciplines of the USF community who hold a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The luncheon will feature the presentation of the 2011 Excellence in Innovation Awards and posters of the 91 patents awarded to USF inventors this year. It is a ResearchOne event.
There is no cost for the luncheon for USF Chapter members but reservations are required. USF faculty and staff who are not members may attend by purchasing a ticket for $25 (payable by check at the door.) To RSVP for the luncheon, contact Cecilia Vindrola Padros at firstname.lastname@example.org or 813-974-5862. Registration deadline is Oct. 14.
ResearchOne is sponsored by Smith & Hopen, P.A., Draper Laboratory, the Florida High Tech Corridor Council and the Embassy Suites Hotel/USF. For more information, visit the USF ResearchOne website.
