Marie Tillman of the Pat Tillman Foundation to Speak on Campus

The Office of Veterans Services is pleased to host the Southeast Regional Gathering of the Tillman Military Scholars Oct. 14 - 16. A highlight of the weekend's programs includes a thought-provoking conversation with Marie Tillman, widow of Pat Tillman—the professional football player who died while serving his country in 2004—and founder of the Pat Tillman Foundation.

She will be joined in the discussion, titled "Finding Purpose in the Face of Adversity," by three of USF's first Tillman Military Scholars. The event, free and open to the campus community and the public, will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, in the Marshall Student Center. Join Veterans Services for the reception in the Centre Gallery beginning at 5 p.m., then attend the program at 7 p.m. in Room 2709.
