USF Campus Rec is celebrating health and wellness during Fitness Week 2012 with a series of healthy events. Check the schedule.
TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2012) – The University of South Florida will recognize National Recreational Sports & Fitness Week with a full slate of events, including free fitness orientations, the newly-launched Exercise is Medicine Lecture Series, an indoor triathlon and Hip Hop U, and classes with kettlebells and plyometric pilates.
The week, from Feb. 20 to Feb. 25, promotes an active, healthy lifestyle and highlights campus resources that relate to healthy eating, stress management and the best ways to stay fit. The Campus Recreation Center is also free for the week for everyone with a USF ID card.
Exercise is Medicine – a new initiative to infuse the USF campus with opportunities to exercise and live well – will kick off its inaugural lecture series presenting the latest research health and fitness, presented by the USF experts.
