Award Winning Year for Undergraduate Admissions Staffer
Jonathan Earnest has had an award-winning year. As an Admissions Team Administrator in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions he recently won the regional Rising Star Award from the National Association for College Admission Counseling. The Rising Star Award honors individuals who exemplify excellence and dedication to serving the needs of students in the transition from high school to college.
Jonathan, Admissions Team Administrator, started in Undergraduate Admissions as front-line customer service. He quickly assumed responsibility for overseeing daily campus tours, special group visits, and advising our student tour organization, the Green and Gold Guides.
This year Jonathan also received the Outstanding Staff Award for Academic Affairs, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the pursuit of excellence at USF. The third award given to Jonathan was the USF Ambassadors Apple Polishing Award. This is a student driven award that recognizes faculty and staff who have made a significant impact in a student’s life.
David Henry, Director of Undergraduate Admissions, said "Jonathan has developed the Green and Gold Guides Organization into one of the most well-known on campus, setting a standard for student development that garners him calls from other organizational advisors seeking his insight."
Jonathan exemplifies the culture of Student Success at USF through the exceptional service he provides to our future students and parents. Congratulations to Jonathan for this well-deserved recognition.
