New USF Foundation Board Members

Leiweke, Riddle and Valiente agree to serve as leaders for the foundation.

TAMPA, Fla. (June 15, 2012) – The USF Foundation announced today the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors. New members joining the 46-person board are William Tod Leiweke, Valerie D. Riddle M.D. ’84, ’89 and Jose Valiente ’73.  

 

Leiweke is the Chief Executive Officer of Tampa Bay Sports and Entertainment LLC and a minority owner of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Tampa Bay Lightning franchise. Currently in his 28th season working in professional sports, Tod is responsible for all the business operations of the Lightning and the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

 

Riddle is a Partner with Curran Partners, Inc. and the Senior Vice President and Medical Director for PharmAthene, Inc. Curran Partners is a U.S.-based executive search firm and partner of the ECI Group, a network of retained executive search firms with offices in major cities around the globe. PharmAthene, Inc. (NASDAQ: PIP) is a leading biopharmaceutical company which specializes in the commercialization of medical countermeasures for the biodefense industry.

 

Valiente is a Certified Public Accountant and Partner with local office of Minneapolis, Minn.-based CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP. Valiente was the founding partner and vice president of ValienteHernandez, P.A. which officially merged under CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, one of the nation’s top 10 certified public accounting and consulting firms.
