University Police Wins Award
The award notes the department’s work in traffic safety enforcement and education.

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 2, 2012) – The University of South Florida Police Department has been selected as a National Law Enforcement Challenge (NLEC) award winner.
USF’s application was among more than 400 applications judged by a group of agency peers, traffic safety and law enforcement professionals. Awardees will be honored Oct. 2 at the Highway Safety Awards breakfast during the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Conference in San Diego, Calif.
The NLEC is a national traffic safety awards program that recognizes excellent law enforcement traffic safety programs. The program provides law enforcement agencies with an opportunity to make a difference in the communities they serve and allows agencies to learn from one another and establish future goals in traffic safety enforcement and education.
