TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 28, 2012) – A certified star in the world of political commentators, USF Distinguished Professor Susan MacManus has been besieged by requests for her time and insight. She rarely says no to whomever asks, from giant news networks such as NBC and the Associated Press, to local Tiger Bay clubs, and as ever, students eager to learn from the scholar who arguably knows more about Florida politics than just about anyone.

WUSF Public Media will be expanding its coverage for the Republican National Convention.

  • “Florida Matters” will air daily from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Carson Cooper will host from the Tampa Convention Center.
  • “The Convention Today” will air each night of the RNC at 6:30 p.m., live from the Tampa Bay Times Forum and hosted by Craig Kopp.
