TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 22, 2012) – The Week of Welcome celebration is a University of South Florida tradition that helps students connect with one another and their university. Now, students can make those connections online.

Held at the beginning of each fall and spring semester, Week of Welcome (WOW) is a campus-wide program for new and returning USF students that features hundreds of social, academic and informative events. From Aug. 22 to Sept. 1, students will have the opportunity to meet fellow Bulls, grab free food, and earn prizes!

Check out how we’re using social media to celebrate this USF tradition:

On Facebook: Let your Facebook friends know that you’re attending WOW by joining our Week of Welcome event page. Post your pictures from WOW on the event page wall!

On Foursquare: You can check into 20 of the biggest WOW events on Foursquare. We’ve created a list of WOW venues on the USF Foursquare page.

On Tumblr: Use the tag #USFWOW in your posts. Follow USF on Tumblr for pictures and updates from WOW events.

On Twitter: The official hashtag for Week of Welcome is #USFWOW. Use it whenever you’re tweeting about the USF tradition.

On YouTube: Subscribe to the USF Channel on YouTube for videos from major Week of Welcome events.
