TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 14, 2013) – The University of South Florida is up for a Shorty Award for best use of social media by a university.
The annual Shorty Awards honor the people and organizations that produce real-time short content across the social web. This year, Barnes & Noble is sponsoring the college category, which recognizes B&N campus partners using social media to drive student engagement.
You can help USF join the ranks of previous Shorty Award winners like Conan O’Brien, Ricky Gervais, and Neil Patrick Harris by tweeting a nomination for @USFNEWS. Here is how to vote:
1. Log into your Twitter account.
2. Send a tweet beginning with the following phrase, “I nominate @USFNEWS for a Shorty Award in #BNCollege because”.
3. Then, add the reason why you think USF should win.
You can only vote once, and votes without a reason will not be counted. Voting ends Feb. 10, 2013. For more information, visit: shortyawards.com/usfnews
