Financial Planning Lunch and Learn Series

In today’s uncertain economy, financial planning has become increasingly important. Creating a financial plan helps you to see the big picture and set long and short term goals, which are crucial steps in mapping out your financial future.

The sessions will be held every other Tuesday from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on the dates listed below.

March 12:      Cash Management - A review of how you allocate your income is an important starting point in the planning process. This is the foundation for understanding your individual financial situation and the resources available to help you meet your goals and objectives.

March 26:      Risk Management - The second key component of financial planning involves protecting yourself from unforeseen losses that could jeopardize your income and assets.

April 9:           Investment Planning - After creating a written budget and fine-tuning your insurance program, you need to structure an investment portfolio that will help you reach your long-term financial goals.

April 23:         Tax Planning - Tax planning is an important part of your financial planning process.

May 8:            Retirement Planning - Retirement planning is something that many people put off.  The general rule of thumb is that you will need 70% to 85% of your current income in retirement.

May 21:          Estate Planning - Estate planning is the process of preparing for unanticipated disabilities or injuries during your life and arranging the distribution of your assets when you die.
