USF Botanical Gardens Festival
The 24th Annual Spring Plant Festival will be celebrated Saturday and Sunday with talks, workshops and more.

TAMPA, Fla. (April 10, 2013) – The 24th Annual Spring Plant Festival at USF Botanical Gardens will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14. Gingers, orchids, landscape plants, plumeria, begonias, native plants and many more will be featured and presented by more than 60 local vendors, plant clubs and societies.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Workshops and talks will be held, including a noon talk on Saturday about urban farming and a talk at noon Sunday about beekeeping. Plant drawings will be held Saturday every hour on the hour. It's a great way to learn what plants will do well in the area and where they will grow best.
Fun activities for the kids. Free parking and admission to the festival is $5. Children under 12 and Botanical Garden members are free.
