National Student Employment Week Recap

Student employment at USF creates an opportunity for our students to gain important skills while they are still in college that can later help them to succeed in today’s competitive job market.  The annual National Student Employment Week (NSEW) celebrations provide an opportunity to recognize these young employees for their contributions to the university while reminding them of the importance of the skills they are learning in the workplace.

This year was USF’s second annual celebration of the nationally recognized event. Throughout last week the NSEW Committee provided events and activities in honor of our Student Employees, with many departments on campus also participating by recognizing their student employees in their own special way.

A new addition to this year’s celebration was the announcement of the first Student Employment Supervisor of the Year Award, presented to Renee Seay from Campus Recreation. Renee was nominated by one of her student employees for her constant dedication to helping the student employees in her department succeed.

Thank you to all of the supervisors and departments who helped to recognize the student employees of USF during this year’s National Student Employment Week.
