TAMPA, Fla. (May 13, 2013) – The Gulf Coast Youth Choirs, which is in residence this summer at the University of South Florida’s School of Music, will present its 21st annual Spring Sing concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the school’s Concert Hall.
Music for the concert ranges from classical and contemporary to spirituals and Broadway. All six GCYC choirs will be featured individually as well as performing in various combinations, culminating in a mass choir performance of more than 130 voices.
Gulf Coast Youth Choirs offers students in grades K-12 a fun, interactive program where practice and participation in choral music helps them develop creativity, confidence, interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, literacy and more.
The singers explore a diverse selection of music and performance experiences while promoting choral excellence. GCYC is a place where children are encouraged to develop their musical talents in a community of friends that share a love of music and singing.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.
Gulf Coast Youth Choirs is currently auditioning singers for the 2013-2014 season.
