Faculty & Staff Appreciation Event March 8

Women's Basketball: Hoops for the Cure February 16
USF Athletics will hold its first Women's Hoops for the Cure game on Saturday, Feb. 16 when the USF women play Rutgers at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3, with proceeds benefiting the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. For more information, click here.

Robert Stackhouse Editions Archive at USF CAM
The USF Contemporary Art Museum will host an exhibition of the work of distinguished alumnus and artist Robert Stackhouse in the East Gallery from Jan. 11 to Feb. 23. The exhibition will explore the evolution of Stackhouse's images and processes from his first print to the most recent editions, his relationship with various print workshops and the interaction across media of his prints, paintings and sculpture.

TheatreUSF presents "The Taming of the Shrew"
The School of Theatre and Dance will present "The Taming of the Shrew" on Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 27-March 1 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 24 and March 2 at 3 p.m. in Theatre 1 on the USF Tampa Campus. Dr. Henrietta Smith Receives Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Henrietta Smith, Professor Emerita for USF School of Library and Information Science, has been selected as the winner of the 2008 Distinguished Service Award for ALSC. For more information, click here.

Dr. Marc Tasse' Appointed to Governor's Disabilities Council
Gov. Charlie Crist recently appointed Dr. Marc Tasse' to the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. Members of the council serve and advocate on behalf of Florida citizens with developmental disabilities and their families.

Irene Hurst is Named Director of USF MBA Programs
Irene Hurst has been selected to serve as the director of MBA programs in the USF College of Business. Hurst most recently held the position of director of the USF Small Business Development Center, where she specialized in women/minority business development, start-up, business planning, and leadership. The former director, Steve Baumgarten, retired in December.

Elisabeth Condon Receives Artist Fellowship
Elisabeth Condon, Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing, has been awarded a $5,000 2008 State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship, the state's most prestigious studio art award.
