Keeping an Eye on Tropical Storm Chantal
Be prepared for hurricane season.
TAMPA, Fla. (July 10, 2013) – Although USF is not currently in the 3 or 5-day cone of uncertainty for Tropical Storm Chantal, we are continuing to watch the storm and monitor its direction. Forecasters are predicting that the storm will weaken and likely dissipate over the next three days, if not sooner.
The official Hurricane Season runs from June 1 - November 30, but tropical storms can developed before and after that window of time. It's important to have supplies and a plan in place before a storm develops. Make sure you review USF's Hurricane Guide for important information on USF's hurricane preparations and steps you can take to make sure you're ready if a storm should threaten the area.”
