Insomnia Treatment Program Begins Oct. 16

The University of South Florida's Health Management Group will be offering a 5-week Insomnia Treatment Program beginning October 16th, 2013.

The Insomnia Treatment Program will focus on improving sleep hygiene, combating unhelpful thoughts, and engaging in sleep-promoting behaviors.  Each session is designed to teach psychological skills to help modify behavior that undermines sleep.  Additionally, the program will focus on developing cognitive skills to help with falling asleep, staying asleep, and fixing broken sleep patterns.

The sessions will include an educational component, followed by group discussion that will focus on applying the information learned to one’s daily life.  The sessions will be conducted in small groups on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm (1st session will end at 7:30).

The total cost for the 5 week program $75.00, which is due at the first meeting.  The workshop fee includes 5 sessions, a notebook, a CD, and an insomnia treatment manual that will be used throughout the program.
