University Special Events & Ceremonies Has a New Web Site
The Office of University Special Events and Ceremonies has a new Web site. The site will provide resources and information about various event venues on campus, including the Lifsey House. School of Theatre & Dance Presents Metamorphoses
TheatreUSF presents the award-winning play Metamorphoses April 9 - 12 at 8 p.m. and April 13 at 3 p.m. in Theatre 2 on the USF Tampa campus. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $6 for students and seniors, and can be purchased through the College of Visual & Performing Arts Box Office by calling 813-974-2323 or online.
Employee Assistance Program Seminar April 22
The Employee Assistance Program's next seminar, "Marry Yourself First," will be held Tuesday, April 22 from noon to 1 p.m. in SVC2126. This seminar will provide information about the inner secrets and strategies to creating healthy, happy and lasting relationships. Save the Date: USF Night With the Tampa Bay Rays August 2
USF Night with the Tampa Bay Rays will be held Saturday, August 2 at 6:10 p.m. at Tropicana Field, with the Rays taking on the Detroit Tigers. USF Men's Basketball Coach Stan Heath will throw out the opening pitch, and LL Cool J will perform in a post-game concert, which is included in the game ticket price. Timpson Receives Fulbright
Dr. Michael Timpson, assistant professor of music composition, has received a Fulbright Research Grant to Taiwan. The purpose of his Fulbright residency in Taiwan will be to conduct research for his book titled, Writing for Chinese Instruments: Orchestrational and Philosophical Approaches for Western Composers.
Foley Receives Fulbright
Michael Foley, professor of dance, was recently awarded a Fulbright Research Grant. Foley's Fulbright will take him to Mexico in January 2009, where he will be teaching at the Escuela Profesional de la Danza de Mazatlan, working with the internationally acclaimed Delfos Danza contemporary dance company on a major new project.
Glamsch Receives Fulbright
Kerry Glamsch, instructor of theatre, will be a Fulbright Scholar for nine months at the University of Craiova in Romania beginning October 1. Glamsch will teach a course titled Great Performances on Film, as well as acting classes in the university's new theatre program.
