National Student Employment Week
USF is celebrating National Student Employment Week from April 14 through April 18.
The University of South Florida is celebrating National Student Employment Week from Monday, April 14, through Friday, April 18. This will be the third year USF will participate in this national celebration, initiated by the National Student Employment Association (NSEA).
The purpose of National Student Employment Week is to recognize the important contributions made by student employees to the university. Their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm help make USF a great place to learn, grow and work.
Additionally, National Student Employment Week celebrates the key role that supervisors of student employees play in the success of our students. Supervisors provide more than basic job skills and career-related experiences for student employees, often serving as mentors throughout the students’ years spent at USF.
Throughout this week supervisors and departments are encouraged to celebrate their student employees. Click here for free and low cost ideas for recognizing the contribution of the student employees in your office. In addition to these efforts the university will be also be hosting the following two events:
Wednesday, April 16
Bull Market – Celebration of student employees.
Thursday, April 17
Student and Supervisor of the Year, announced during a private reception for winners & guests.
The National Student Employment Week Planning Committee includes representatives from Human Resources, Career Services, Auxiliary Services, and Student Affairs.
