“U Rock Challenge” Event Rocked

See highlights of the fourth annual Faculty & Staff Campaign Challenge celebration.

Last Friday, April 18th, the USF Faculty & Staff Campaign celebrated the completion of the fourth annual Faculty & Staff Campaign Challenge. This year’s Challenge, titled the “U ROCK Challenge”, invited University areas located on the Tampa campus to participate in a month-long competition to reach their participation goals.

To celebrate the success of the Challenge, the “U ROCK Challenge” event showcased the “Best Dressed Rock Star” Competition between the 15 participating University leaders. Judged by the large crowd of employees in attendance, the winner was Ken Short representing the College of Engineering as he dressed up as Paul Stanley from KISS. Congratulations to Ken for winning the Gold Album trophy in the first ever “Best Dressed Rock Star” Competition.

Another entertaining aspect of the “U ROCK Challenge” event was the performance by USF’s very own “TOUCH.” Powered by iPads, this innovative, cutting edge group of USF faculty and students performed a great mix of classic rock and classical piano flair for the audience. To see photos from this entertaining event, including USF President Judy Genshaft dressed as Elvis, visit the USF Administrative Services Flickr page.

Congratulations to each area for helping increase the overall Faculty & Staff Campaign to 39% year-to-date participation. The Faculty & Staff Campaign truly involves all employees of the University and with your continued support, we will reach an all-time high 43% participation system-wide by June 30. Working together, we truly make USF: Unstoppable.
