Planned Power Outages begin July 4

Read a list of dates and buildings scheduled for an electrical outage.

In order to enhance the electrical service to the USF Tampa Community, a series of planned electrical outages have been scheduled this summer prior to the start of the Fall 2014 Semester.  The outages on July 4th and 5th are the first planned for the summer.  We will send out notices in advance of future scheduled outages.

The planned outages will involve multiple buildings on multiple dates.  The outages will last 12 – 14 hours, including the process for re-energizing the buildings.  During that time, the buildings will be closed and access to the buildings affected will not be possible.   The outages have been scheduled to minimize the impact on class schedules, students, faculty and staff.

The Building Supervisors for the affected buildings will provide building occupants with detailed information and instructions on how to prepare for the outages.   The buildings that will be affected on July 4th and 5th are listed below.  This schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.

- Friday, July 4:  CMC, ENA, ENC, ENG, LIB
- Saturday, July 5:  CMC, ENA, ENC, ENG, LIB

Please contact your Building Supervisor if any questions.
