TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 3, 2014) – The third annual USF Bulls Walk and Bike Week educational campaign conducted by the University of South Florida's Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) wrapped up with a week full of transportation safety reminders, contests and bicycle give-aways. The safety campaign took place across the USF Tampa campus throughout the week of September 2-5, 2014, with lessons and tips for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists to carry always.

The event promoted awareness of pedestrian and bicycle safety with reminders to "Walk Wise, Bike Smart, and Drive Carefully." Bulls Walk and Bike Week is supported by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Traffic Safety Office through the Community Traffic Safety Program Support grant and pedestrian safety grants.

The goal of the event reaches beyond just pedestrians and bicyclists, but to motorists as well, with the hope of reminding everyone to be courteous to one another, to potentially reduce the numbers of crashes, injuries, and fatalities to zero.
