Join and Support USF’s Heart Walk Effort
Sign up to join or form a team for your department or student organization.USF teams are forming now for the upcoming American Heart Association’s 2014 Tampa Bay Heart Walk, which will be held on Saturday, November 15 at Raymond James Stadium. Sign up today to join or form a team for your department or student organization!
By supporting the Tampa Bay Heart Walk, you play a key role in the fight against the U.S.’s leading causes of death: heart disease and stroke. On the day of the Heart Walk, bring your family and friends out to celebrate your team’s efforts with music, games and a three-mile stroll through Al Lopez Park and along the sidelines of the field at Raymond James Stadium, where your image will be splashed on the Jumbotron. (The event is dog-friendly, too!)
There are so many ways in which you can make a positive contribution to the campaign. Please consider participating in these ways:
- Lead a group as a Team Captain. As a Team Captain, your leadership will support and motivate a team of walkers. Click here to form a USF team.
- Join a team as a Team Walker. Walkers set a fundraising goal and inspire friends, family and coworkers to support their efforts. Click here to join one of USF’s teams.
- Make a donation to one of USF’s teams. If you can’t attend the Heart Walk but would like to contribute, your donation would be appreciated and will help one of our teams reach its goal. Click here to find a team to make a donation. If you would like to give to USF’s general campaign instead of a specific team, please click here.
- Educate yourself on heart disease and stroke. Take advantage of the free health calculators, recipes, tools and other resources on the American Heart Association’s website to improve your health and the health of your loved ones. Visit startwalkingnow.org for more information.
USF hopes to recruit 300 walkers and raise $30,000 this year. For more information about the Heart Walk, please visit http://tampabayheartwalk.kintera.org.
