USF Week Kicked-Off in Style, Continues with the Ultimate Bull Talent Show and Free Bullstock Concert.
Campus tradition includes a number of events celebrating USF pride such as the Ultimate Bull Talent Show, Rocky's Birthday Bash, the University Lecture Series, Bullstock and many more.
TAMPA, Fla. (April 5, 2016) – USF Week launched with its annual Kick-Off Celebration, the Mr. & Ms. USF Pageant Show and the first Collegiate Collection Fashion Show. The festivities continued with the University Lecture Series featuring Brandon Stanton, the creator and photographer of the popular Humans of New York blog. USF Week will continue through the weekend, including the Ultimate Bull Talent Show, Rocky’s Birthday Bash, and a free outdoor concert featuring rock bands New Politics, Mayday Parade, BORNS and The Maine.After a program that consisted of unique talents, philanthropic messages, and a question-and-answer session, this year's new Mr. & Ms. USF were crowned. Congratulations to Ms. USF Jiaxin Zhang and Mr. USF Meka Nwoke.
A new addition to the USF Week tradition was the Collegiate Collections Fashion Show. The event featured USF branded looks for a variety of occasions including casual wear, athletic gear and Under Armour outfits perfect for all fans as they cheer on their USF Bulls.
The Marshall Center Ballroom was at capacity for the University Lecture Series featuring Humans of New York (HONY) blog creator Brandon Stanton. In a witty and easy-going manner, Stanton shared his journey from being fired from his finance job to approaching strangers on the street and getting them to tell him their story thus creating the phenomenon that is HONY.
Other events during USF Week celebrate Bull Pride and build campus traditions. The community is invited to join students, faculty, staff and alumni for the System-wide celebration. The schedule includes:

Bullstock, a long-standing USF tradition, is a free spring concert coordinated by the students on the Campus Activities Board in the Center for Student Involvement. This year’s concert lineup of eight national and local bands also includes Rising Down, Saved by Friday, Reckless Serenade, and Assuming We Survive. Offering music, food, fireworks and fun, Bullstock runs from 5-11 p.m. on Friday, April 8, and will be held in the Sun Dome parking lot 22D.
