USF System Campuses are closed on Thursday

Due to Hurricane Hermine all classes are cancelled for Sept. 1.

Due to the tropical weather system impacting the Tampa Bay region, the University of South Florida System has closed all campuses - Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee – on Thursday, September 1. Faculty, students and staff are urged to use caution when traveling to campus this evening.

All classes are cancelled for Thursday, September 1. Only essential personnel should report to work. Employees who are unsure if they have been designated as essential personnel should check with their supervisor as soon as possible.

The USF Health South Tampa Center for Advanced Healthcare and other south Tampa medical clinics will be closed all day Thursday.

The USF Health Morsani Center for Advanced Health Care will remain open on Thursday.

All physicians and residents assigned to hospital duty are considered essential personnel and should report as scheduled. Physicians and residents should check www.health.usf.edu for updates regarding the clinical schedule for Friday, September 2.

As of now, all campuses and facilities are expected to be open and classes will resume on Friday. An additional announcement will be made if any closures are planned. Please check www.usf.edu for any updates.
