USF Home for Senator Martinez's Expanded Gulf Coast Office
TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 11, 2008) – The University of South Florida welcomes U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (R-FL) to USF's Research Park in Tampa. He is expanding his Gulf Coast regional office which will be located in the USF CONNECT building.
"We think the senator has made an excellent choice," said USF President Judy Genshaft. "He recognizes as do so many others that USF is an integral part of the community in a great place to serve his constituents."
The senator’s Gulf Coast regional office serves the residents of Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee and Hardee counties.
"Having an office at the USF Tampa campus will provide better accessibility for people seeking assistance with federal issues," said Martinez. "I am excited to join the USF community and look forward to serving Gulf Coast residents at this location."
Senator Martinez’s Gulf Coast regional office provides residents with a local office to contact when seeking assistance with any issues or concerns they are facing with a federal agency or program.
