Five Building Name Changes

The John and Grace Allen Administration Building (ADM) will now be known as the John and Grace Allen Building (ALN). This new name more accurately reflects the multi-departmental use of the building and recognizes more prominently our founding president and his wife, who provided strong contributions to the success of the university during its development and early years. The Allen Building now houses the following:

Honors College

Graduate School

Diversity & Equal Opportunity

Student Affairs – Office of the Vice President

Controller’s Office

Admissions Welcome Center

Veterans Services (Coming Summer 2012)

Student Rights & Responsibilities (Coming Summer 2012)

The Athletic Training Center (ATH) has been renamed the Lee Roy Selmon Athletics Center, in honor of Lee Roy Selmon, who passed away last year. Known by many as USF’s “Father of Football,” Selmon joined USF in 1993 to build USF’s football program, and made significant contributions to the development of the university’s athletics program and the success of our student-athletes during his 18 years with the university. The athletics department has invited all Bulls fans to attend the naming ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 4:30 p.m.

The College of Behavioral and Community Sciences has renamed three of its buildings. The FMHI Administrative building is now the College of Behavioral & Community Sciences Building (MHC). The FMHI Child & Family Studies building is now the CBCS Research/Classroom Building (MHF), and the School of Social Work building is now the CBCS CARD Building (MGY).
